Jason with THE CUP!!!

I went to see the Blue Jackets (Our local NHL team) and they had THE STANLY CUP.  So I got my picture with a piece of sports history.

Did I mention I was also sitting in one of the corporate boxes where we had our own waitress, and buffett?  And a fridge full of soda.  What luxury!!  I definitely have to get one of those.

They say it’s your Birthday!!!

Yes, as of today my little girl is officially one year old.  It has been a very long strange trip going from hip independent couple to mom and dad.  We even find ourselves looking into mini-vans ::shudder::

We had her party on Saturday with family and friends and remembered the 36 hours of hell that brought our little angel into the world.  Tonight we feast on Skyline Chili as we have decided on that tradition, it was the first meal Heather had after the Alora was born.

Your Husband goes to college!

It is an attempt at a Napoleon Dynamite reference, and my wife’s new favorite joke.

But it is true, I stepped onto the campus of Columbus State Community College as a student last night.  My only class this semester is Marketing Principles.  Of course since we are in Columbus the class was cut short for the National Championship game, which I was so thrilled with.  But it feels good to be back in School although I have no idea what my major will be I am stuck between Marketing, Business, and Computer Technology, but This class is good for all three so I am still good.

It is official

I am going back to college.  I got my ID for Columbus State today, a small  community college in the city.  I am only taking one class right now so I can get back into the swing of things, plus I get tuition reimbursement in March.  I am not sure if I am going to do computer science or business but we will see.

New Year’s Party

Our annual New Years Waffle Party was a success.  We had 25 people in our home for all you can eat waffles.  Which considering we didn’t do it last year I think was a great success.  Then I got to watch Penn State win a bowl game.  It was a good day.

Pics will be up soon for our party.

Well what a long strange trip it has been…

We got home yesterday from our Christmas trip.  Alora got to meet some of her relitives for the first time.  And at my house the whole family came over on Saturday and it was great to have everyone over for the first time in years.  We then traveled to Maryland only getting lost once but my fabulous sense of direction and Heathers need to use the restroom got us back on track.  Then we had another Christmas with the Minears.  Alora got along very well with Deeogee (pronounced D-O-G), Jeff and Brenda’s dog, clever name huh.  They seemed to love eachother maybe because they saw eye to eye.  Finally we ended up in Pittsburgh although I passed out so I don’t remember much, sorry Dave.

It is great to be back and I had a great birthday but I can’t share that online.  🙂

Alora’s First Christmas

AloraChristmas

So tonight we leave for Alora’s First Christmas, and it will be a busy one.  We will be in PA Saturday where we will have Christmas with my family.  She gets to meet her aunt Jan for the first time and she is very excited.  We will then leave Tuesday to go to Maryland to see uncle Jeff and aunt Brenda and Grandma and Grandpa Minear.  Thursday we will head to Pittsburgh to see aunt Betsy, uncle Dave and Corbin.  Friday on Jason’s birthday we will hopefully find our selves back in Columbus for a weekend of relaxing before our annual waffle breakfast on the first.

 Merry Christmas to all
