Back at Home

Well we are finally back at home from our LONG Christmas break.  We spent a few days in WV and a few in PA and what seemed like a few on the road, although it was only half a day (13 hours).  We got a chance to start a few traditions for our families Christmas, I read the nativity story for Alora and Corbin and then we had a birthday cake for Jesus.  Heather and I agreed to try to keep Jesus as the focus as the holiday so that is something we plan on doing for the years to come.

It was great to see everyone and I hope we can keep in contact.

Funny Mommy

So at MOPS on Monday night we had a Christmas party which was a hoot. It was also great to be back and see everyone again. Instead of having a main speaker we watched a woman comedian who I thought was hilarious, Anita Renfroe. So for your viewing pleasure here is a little exerpt:

Happy Happy Holidays

It’s almost that time again and the chaos is building. Do I have enough wrapping paper, where are the scissors, bring back the tape! Are we packed, what did we forget, do we have enough cash, how do we keep her entertained? It seems like an endless birage of questions, worries, queries and concerns, but then I realize it will all get done, some how. It may not be perfect or in order like I want it, but if you slow down and let God help even in the little things in life all these things shall pass and the laundry will get clean, the suitcases will be packed, and something will be done with the Christmas presents and you will have peace strength and confidence that God was with you all the way since in the end you are celebrating this holiday because the birth of His Son, Our Savior.

Snow Day

Wow so yesterday the snow poured (well at least for OH). Alora got to run and play and make snow angels. It’s days like those that makes days like today, no nap, mommymommymommymommy, and crying a little more bearable. It makes me remember that I signed up for this gig, I asked to be a stay at home mom. Yes it’s rough, yes there are days when I want to beat my head against a wall, but then there are those days when you get a mommy daughter moment that you know would never ever have happened if you weren’t there and those are the moments that make me glad for snow days.

This is one of those days…

There are days when I really hate going to my job. It isn’t that I don’t like my job, although if I won the lottery I probably wouldn’t work there, I like my team, my boss, my company but I hate to leave my little girl. There are some days though when I really realize how lucky I am to have the job I do. This is one of those days… (more…)
